Clover Tapered Tailor's Awl

This awl is very useful in punching holes in fabrics and leather, pulling out corners and widening out spaces.  I especially love it for punching holes when you are going to apply a crocheted trim to fabric.  They are also used for detailed work such as shaping the edges, feeding the cloth into the sewing machine and untying threads.
